Site where people interested in foreign languages can gather, meet, and share their experiences.

Place4langs is compound of three branches, this application (www.place4langs.com), a forum (forum.place4langs.com) and a blog, called "entre idiomas" (blog.place4langs.com).The sole reason place4langs exists is for foreign languages.
Publish
This is the core of place4langs. The application is aimed at helping people find resources to improve their language skills. Whether it is language teachers, language schools, or other people to practice face to face conversation, place4langs supports it.

The application behaves (or should behave) quite intuitively. You can perform searches based on general or specific criteria. You can post your own ad looking for students, or looking for teachers, or looking for people to exchange languages with.
You can also subscribe to a search so that you will be informed of new ads that match your criteria

set of speech accents from a variety of language backgrounds.

Everyone who speaks a language, speaks it with an accent. A particular accent essentially reflects a person's linguistic background. When people listen to someone speak with a different accent from their own, they notice the difference, and they may even make certain biased social judgments about the speaker.

The speech accent archive is established to uniformly exhibit a large set of speech accents from a variety of language backgrounds. Native and non-native speakers of English all read the same English paragraph and are carefully recorded.1 The archive is constructed as a teaching tool and as a research tool. It is meant to be used by linguists as well as other people who simply wish to listen to and compare the accents of different English speakers.
