Why use Gizmo?
Gizmo Project is the baby of the team who built the SIPphone VoIP platform. SIPphone builds and operates all the servers and services on which hardware, software or web community can offer free VoIP services. However, as VoIP began to take off, companies tried harder to look like AT&T rather than inventing a new way to use voice, a way where calls were free.
At the core of Gizmo Project is a commitment to open standards, which is critical to deliver the true potential of VoIP. SIPphone believes that like web pages, email and IM, calls should be free. And we believe the more people you can call the better. Which is why we use the industry VoIP standard, SIP.
